Hotel prices are plummeting in the US, according to a recent survey so bag yourself a bargain
A report by accommodation experts Hotels.com shows that room rates in New York have dropped by nearly 30% in the past year, from an average price of £175 a night to a much more affordable £120.
Meanwhile Sin City (aka Las Vegas) offers even better value, with average room prices at £51 per night, down from £72 in 2008.
The price drops are largely due to the recession biting in the States, and US hoteliers expect the poor trading conditions to continue into 2010 meaning now is a great time for British travellers to cross the Pond. So, take a look at 10 great US cities to discover this winter while the prices are low and find a cheap deal on hotels and flights.
