- Does the change in dial up number effect the price I pay?
Yes, The new prices are 4p per minute during the daytime on weekdays (6am-6pm), 2p during the evening on weekdays (6pm-6am) and 1p per minute at weekends (Friday 6pm - Monday 6am).
- How can I check that these instructions are genuine?
Your current Internet Service Provider is Wanadoo UK. You can call us on 0844 871 0079 to confirm that this is a genuine request to download your new Pay As You Go number.
- How much does it cost for calling the 0844 871 0079 number?
Calls to 08 numbers are not included in your call allowance. Calls to 0870 numbers will be charged up to a maximum of 6.9 p/min,
calls to other 08XX numbers will be charged up to a maximum 12p/min, calls to 070 numbers will be charged up to a maximum

- I have forgotten my email address and password
You can call us on 0844 871 0079 to obtain your account details.
- If I follow these instructions, what happens to my PC?
You'll be downloading a new Pay As You Go dial-up number (0844 058 7000). Your old number was 0845 079 6699 or 0845 607 5602.
All that will happen is that your old 0845 number will be swapped for this new 0844 number.
- What happens if I don't do this?
You won't be able to access the Internet or use email unless you download this new dial-up number.
- How do I install this new 0844 number?
Automatically: You can automatically update your computer with this new number by clicking on the Download new number button. Just follow the simple instructions on screen.
Make sure you only click on Run or Open when prompted during the download. (don't click on 'save this program to disk').
Manually: If you want to manually change the number, follow these instructions:
- Click on the Start menu in the bottom left corner of the screen. Then click on Programs and click once again on Internet Explorer.
- Click on the Tools menu at the top of the Internet Explorer window. Then select Internet Options from the list that appears. A new window will open the Internet Options Control Panel
- The Internet Options window will open. At the top of this window click on Connections
- You'll see a window appear. Click once on your Wanadoo connection in the list that appears and then click on the Settings button.
- Make sure the correct number appears in the 'Area code' and/or the 'Telephone number' boxes near the top of the panel. For Pay As You Go the number is 0844 058 7000. You may see the number preceded by 141 or 1470.
- When the correct dial-up number is entered, click OK, OK and OKagain to confirm your changes - if you made any - and return to Internet Explorer.
- How do I print these instructions?
- If you're using a PC, press Ctrl-P (hold down the Ctrl key and press P at the same time)
- Using a Macintosh, press Apple-P (hold down the Apple key and press P at the same time)
- I'm using Internet Explorer. What will happen when I click on the 'Download new number' button?
If you're using Internet Explorer, the automatic set-up will update your browser, email and connection settings to use your Pay As You Go account. When you click on 'Download new number' button, this box will be displayed:

Always click on 'Run' or 'Open' during installation. (don't click on 'save this program to disk').
If you're using Windows 98:
- Select Open this file from its current location and follow the simple instructions to download your new number.
If you're using Windows 2000 (above):
- Select Open and follow the simple instructions to download your new number.
- I'm using Netscape. What will happen when I click on the 'Download new Number' button?
When you download the new number automatically - your Internet connection will be set up, but you'll need to manually set up your browser (web page window) and email.
When you click 'Download new number' you'll also see a box asking whether you should Open or Save . Select Open to immediately set up your Internet Settings.
Press the 'Close' button to return to the final stage and finish your sign-up.
