All-time Five/Six Nations XV
Wales are ready to launch the defence of their Six Nations crown, but we've not included a single member of their current line-up in our all-time Five/Six Nations side. Read on and see if you agree with our selections.
15 - Serge Blanco
Nation: France
Position: Full-back
Caps: 93
Era: 1980-1991
Why he gets the nod: It was a straight tussle between Blanco and JPR Williams, a truly great Welsh full-back, but Blanco easily emerged victorious. He was the epitome of French flair, attacking rugby and turning nothing into something pretty spectacular. He was superb under the high ball and equally aggressive in defence - just ask England wing Nigel Heslop, who he famously punched in his last ever match in a French shirt. And all this despite smoking a packet of cigarettes a day. They don't make them like Blanco anymore.
Did you know? He now owns three hotels and a brand of sportswear.
