Orange's tips for the 2009 Grand National
Forty horses will be under starter's orders shortly before 4.15pm at Aintree on Saturday for one of the highlights of the sporting calendar - the Grand National.
Paul Nicholls' My Will heads the betting, while previous winners Comply or Die (2008) and Silver Birch (2007) also line-up.
But should you be putting your money on the favourite? In the past 100 years only eight favourites have won the race, which remains one of the most open contests in sport even though the Aintree fences have been tamed in recent years.
It's a race watched by millions of people worldwide, many of whom will be strictly once-a-year casuals having their annual flutter and joining in the fun.
If you fall into that category, or if you're a hard-bitten regular punter, read on for our pick of the 10 horses worth watching in Saturday's big race. You can also check out our resident tipster Burlington Bertie's Aintree blog.
