Drug cheat Dwain Chambers poured further fuel on an already raging inferno on Sunday by romping to victory in the World Indoor 60m trials and, in the process, securing a place in the British team for the championships in Valencia next month.
UK Athletics were desperate to see the athlete, who failed a test in 2003 and then 'retired' to play American football, stumble in his comeback bid. Former athlete David Bedford, one of the sport's most respected ambassadors, even called for the Sheffield crowd to boo Chambers while Steve Cram says he wouldn't have picked him.
