Andrew Symonds and Matthew Hayden put Australia in control by scoring centuries on the second day of the fourth Ashes Test.
Symonds reached 154 not out and Hayden scored 153 as Australia reached 372 for seven at the close of play in reply to England's first innings of 159 all out in Melbourne.
Symonds and Hayden may have done serious damage, but the England attack managed to limit the rest of the Australian batsmen.
Opener Justin Langer's total of 27 was the only Australian innings so far of more than seven runs.
