Clock ticking for Force India

Force India face a race against time to have their car ready for the season-opening Australian Grand Prix on 29 March.

There is speculation the car will not even be ready to drive until the start of March following the new engine tie-in with Mercedes. As a result, the team could be embarrassingly off the pace.

While all this goes on, Force India owner Vijay Mallya remains keen to purchase Honda - should the management buy-out fall through - in order to asset strip it and boost his own team.
