Ecclestone turns on Mosley

Formula 1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone has reportedly turned his back on close friend Max Mosley over the damaging News of the World sex allegations.

Mosley's position as president of FIA, F1's governing body, now looks completely untenable after his ally turned on him in secret negotiations with F1's top teams.

Ecclestone apparently told them he has already lined up former Ferrari boss Jean Todt to replace Mosley.

Mosley's future will not be officially decided until an FIA vote at the start of June.
