Worst ever managerial appointments

How do football club chairmen get it so wrong so often?

The Guy Fawkes Night bonfires have only just turned to ash yet already, barely three months into the season, 20 per cent of Premier League clubs have changed their manager.

In the entire Football League, ten clubs have made a change at the top in the last two weeks alone (Leicester, Bolton, Tottenham, QPR, Norwich, Lincoln, Gillingham, Wigan, Port Vale and Millwall is the full list, The Gaffer informs us).

Amidst all this managerial incompetence (not to mention the misguided selection procedures of club chairmen), Orange decided to scour the archives to choose its ten worst managerial appointments of all time.

After reading our selections, you can have your say. Did we miss any atrocious managers out? Who was your club's worst ever boss? Click here to join the debate.
