Top-up using your mobile

Register your debit or credit card then we'll send you a text when your balance is low. All you do is text us back and you're topped up.
Calling 450
Call 450 from your phone, select option 1 and then follow the prompts to top-up.
Text Top-up
You can top up using your mobile phone, either by calling 450, by text, through OrangePlus on your phone's menu or mobile banking.
How it works

When you receive your low balance alert just send us a text with the last 4 digits of your registered debit / credit card, the top-up amount and your card security code (the last 3 digits on the signature strip on the back of the card) - your phone will be topped up straight away.

e.g. 1234 05 123

The last four digits of your card number -

The Card Security Code -

example Card Security Code which appears as the last 3 digits of the number on your card signature strip

For American Express cardholders this is the 4-digit code printed on the front of your card just above and to the right of your main credit card number.

If you haven't got a card registered with Orange just call 450.

Alternatively if you want to top-up at anytime by text, just text the details above - last 4 digits, top-up amount and card security code - to 2886.

Why not save the shortcode 2886 in your phone, then when you want to top up, enter your details in a text and hit send.
To check your low balance text alerts are set up, or choose the minimum level, just call 450.

Mobile Top-up

There's no need to be caught short of credit on your phone again. Whatever the time and wherever you are, Mobile Top-up lets you add credit at the press of a button on your phone.
If you bought your phone since 1 January 2006 your phone will be ready to use. Before you use mobile top-up for the first time, you need to register your debit/credit card with Customer Services. Just call 450. You only need to do this once.
Then, every time you need to top-up
go to the phone's menu and select Orange Plus
select pay as you go, which will give you a top-up option
select this and enter your 4-digit ID code (PIN), which you will have received when you first registered your phone
select the top-up amount you want from the list
the selected credit amount is then applied immediately

Mobile banking top-up
When you download MONILINKTM software to your phone, you can access your bank account to top-up. You can also request a mini-statement or see your balance. To check if your bank offers this service, and for more info go to www.monilink.co.uk or call 0800 083 5212. You can register online, or directly from your phone by following these steps:

  • Find MONILINKTM in your phone menu, under 'applications' or 'games'
  • You'll be asked to choose a passcode
  • Enter the details for your bank card
  • Choose 'Top-up phone'
  • Select which phone you'll be using - you may have more than one registered with Orange if you sometimes top-up a friend or relative's phone
  • Choose your top-up amount
  • You'll be asked to confirm your top-up amount, phone number and bank account, by selecting OK.
  • You'll see confirmation that your top-up has been successful
