Boffins invent solar bra

With oil prices soaring and the threat of global warming, a German firm has invented an energy producing bra.

The bra generates a small amount of electricity thanks to its attached solar panel.

But - and men will be interested in this - the Solar Energy Bra can only work if it is exposed to sunlight or electric lighting.

The bra's designers said the power it produces is enough to charge a cell phone or an iPod.

Unfortunately the bra will not be in shops anytime soon.

A spokeswoman for the firm who makes it said: 'It might be difficult to put it to practical use considering people usually cannot go outside without wearing clothes over it.'
