Motorists: 'Praise You Fatboy'

DJ Fatboy Slim proved he was Right Here Right Now when he turned up to help a couple whose car had broken down on Boxing Day.

The star, whose real name is Norman Cook, whisked them back to his home where his wife, former Radio 1 DJ Zoe Ball, served up mince pies and called breakdown recovery.

Malcolm and Linda Fuller, of Portslade, East Sussex, broke down near Brighton beach when Fatboy drove past and offered his help.

Mr Fuller said the DJ asked them to hop into his BMW to warm up.

He said: 'Without any prompting, he drove us to his house. We went into the living room where virtually the whole family were gathered for a post-Christmas get together. We met his mum and dad and Zoe's parents and a few relatives.'

He added: 'Zoe wouldn't let us go until she was sure we were good and warm and the AA van had turned up.'

Mrs Fuller said: 'He's quite simply the nicest man I've ever met.'

She said she was 'overwhelmed' when Zoe Ball offered her a mince pie.

Fatboy Slim is throwing a party, the Big Beach Boutique III, in Brighton on New Year's Day.
