Three teenagers have been charged with the murder of 16-year-old Ben Kinsella, police said.

The teenager was stabbed to death in north London in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Ben was knifed repeatedly in York Way, Islington, before dying in the arms of his friend Louis Robson, 16, the son of Birds Of A Feather actress Linda Robson.

Juress Kika, 18, Michael Alleyne, 18, and Jade Braithwaite, 19, all from Islington, are due to appear in custody at Highbury Corner Magistrates' Court on Friday.

Ben's family has set up a fund and website to raise awareness about knife crime.

His relatives are launching a special badge that Ben designed and are urging all teenagers to 'put down their knives and weapons and think about the pain and suffering they will cause'.

Ben became the 17th teenager to die violently in the capital this year.

His family, led by his actress sister Brooke Kinsella, plans to use donations to the Ben Kinsella fund to hold events to raise the profile of the problem of weapons on the streets.

Miss Kinsella has paid an emotional tribute to her 'true angel' of a brother and appealed to teenagers and their parents to put an end to the violence.
