After seven years, The Sims still manages to be utterly absorbing to all kinds of gamers across the globe. As expansion pack after expansion pack is released, your Sims world becomes bigger and more complex and in many ways more like lifelike. The expansions have been varied so far, covering weather, university life, nightlife, pets and commerce. Some packs have introduced whole new elements to the game such as going to university, which gave you a new campus town and a new way for your teenage Sims to increase their abilities and broaden their career options. Other packs simply load you up with new stuff to fill your houses with and adorn your characters with.

At only 10 quid, these Stuff packs are half the price of the bigger life-enhancing packs, but they have an immediacy for fans of the game that is rather appealing. H&M Fashion Stuff comes hot on the heels of Family Fun, Glamour Life, Festive Holiday and Celebration packs. This is the first to tap into a real-life environment, the makers of the game teaming up with high street store H&M to bring your characters to life with real clothing designs and the ability to create your own little Sim H&M store.

There’s plenty of gear to try on, and the added element of knowing that the clothes are real and available to buy is fun. You may find yourself thinking “Ooh that suits my little Sim version of me, I might pop out and buy it”. You can also download a design kit, create your own fashions and submit them to the Fashion Runway online competition, with the possibility of your design being made and sold in real H&M stores. The Sims are taking over the real world!

Although this pack doesn’t offer as much content as some of the others, it’s an interesting concept and as always a must-have for fans of the series.
