10. Russell upstages Rossy
Self-confessed egotist Jonathan Ross has been known to reduce his guests to mere foils for his jokes - but the tables were well and truly turned when Russell appeared on his show. It wasn't as though the wild-haired funnyman was trying to make his host look silly - but Rossy just didn't seem able to raise his game to match Russell's wit.

Instead Jonathan came over all "Parky" and started showering his guest with praise. Referring to Russell's recent straight acting role in TV drama Cold Blood, he gushed about how weird it was to see the comedian playing a different character who was nothing like himself. "Well, that is acting in its essence, Jonathan," Russell deadpanned. "You're making me out to be a proper fool," replied the clearly ruffled interviewer.
