Lynne faces her fears
Lynne Franks
won her jungle buddies five meals yesterday by battling her way through a very unpleasant Bushtucker Trial.

She was forced to crawl down a filthy sewer called the Tunnel of Terror and put her hand into a series of pipes containing various nasty surprises.

Wearing helmet and goggles, she sobbed as she was faced with eels, spiders, scorpions and rats – yet despite being dubbed “lazy” by some of the camp, she rose to the challenge and won five stars.

Lynne has confessed to her fear of "wriggly, wiggly, horrible things” but afterward claimed the experience had been positive. "I meditated before I went in there, and I did call upon the powers to be my own higher self, whatever guides I've got, whoever's out there to help me through it and my own inner strength,” she told the other celebrities. “I found who I am and I can face my fears."

The other Bushtucker Trial of the day saw Janice Dickinson, Christopher Biggins, Lynne and Rodney Marsh put to a less slimy test. Set in front of a giant egg timer each, all they had to do was keep turning them before the sands ran out.

Janice gave up first, saying she was distracted by a bird, while Rodney lasted the longest and is now immune to eviction. Lynne said the task was “the most pointless thing I've ever done in my life."

More pointless than being a “lifestyle guru”? Surely not.
