Big Ron lined up for Wife Swap

Hit Channel 4 show Celebrity Wife Swap comes back with a bang next month, with TV bosses handing football pundit Ron Atkinson a chance to make amends for the controversial comments which saw him axed from ITV’s football coverage a few years ago.
The series opener will see Big Ron shack up with Olympic gold medallist Tessa Sanderson, while his long-suffering wife Maggie will move in with the javelin queen’s fiancé Densign White – a former judo champ.
Ron’s career as a football pundit was rocked in 2004 when he was caught calling Chelsea star Marcel Desailly a “lazy, thick n*****” while he mistakenly thought his microphone was switched off. Despite an apology, the 70-year-old former Manchester United manager was ditched from the channel and has struggled to rebuild his career ever since.
“Big Ron will have to be on his best behaviour with Tessa,” tittered a source. “If he puts even so much as a finger out of line she’ll come down on him like a ton of bricks. And he will know by now that her fiancé Densign is a former judo champion.”
