Bradley visits Max in hospital

With Max in a coma following last week's dramatic hit-and-run, the police begin their investigations. Know-it-all Ian is convinced he knows whodunit. "My money's on Jack," the haddock batterer opines. "Although saying that, Dot's probably the only Branning who hasn't got a motive to do it." You took the words right out of our mouths, Ian…

It quickly transpires that Tanya doesn't have an alibi for the night in question – and nor does Jack, though a lovesick Ronnie is happy to step into the breach. Meanwhile, a scared and angry Bradley is planning to do a runner to Stockholm.

On Friday, there's another twist in the tale when teenager Lauren – who still blames herself for making the DVD that first exposed Max and Stacey's affair – makes a shocking revelation to Tanya. "This is all my fault," she insists. "I know what happened to Dad." Yikes… now this we've got to hear.

Elsewhere, there's a hilarious comedy moment when Ian gets locked in the caff loos for the night, thereby missing Jane's stand-up debut in the Vic. Meanwhile, evil Tony does everything in his power to avoid spending quality time with Bianca and Whitney on his birthday.
