Simon: ‘Dannii and Cheryl are too boring’
|
It’s no secret that X Factor mogul Simon Cowell enjoys a turbulent relationship with his fellow judges, but when they get wind of the reasons for his recent seating re-shuffle, there are likely to be some pretty spectacular fireworks.
Eagle-eyed viewers will have noticed that Dannii Minogue and Cheryl Cole didn’t sit next to each other on Saturday’s show, and insiders reckon the shift was made following Simon’s orders just minutes before the show started. The reason? The pair of them are just far too boring.
“It was on Simon’s say-so,” said a source. “He doesn’t think there is enough banter and interaction between the girls – they basically lack chemistry. He thought it was a bit boring and decided it needed shaking up. Dannii wasn’t at all happy.”
Someone else who hasn’t been happy over the past few weeks is Her Excellency Madam Fu Ying, the Chinese Ambassador. She recently put in a complaint to the police after her street was besieged by rabid X Factor fans desperate for a glimpse of Jedward and the gang. The Chinese Embassy sits next to the house where the show’s finalists live under lock and key until the winner is crowned.
However, in a stunning volte-face, Foo Ying has today penned a letter to The Sun full of gushing praise for the contestants, and even owns up to being a fan. “The beauty of such shows is that they give young people a chance to realise their dreams,” she gushes in the bizarre piece of correspondence. “Good luck to the contestants of X Factor.”
Good luck yourself, Madam Fu Ying. You’ll need it when you hear what Jedward have planned for rehearsals tonight.
