EastEnders bosses are planning a Hallowe'en shock plot, which will see love cheat Max Branning fighting for his life after being knocked down in a hit and run. Max has been busily plotting revenge against his brother Jack for copping off with his wife Tanya but, in a jaw-dropping twist, Max is run over by Darren Miller’s speeding car and left for dead.
A breathless Walford mole told Digital Spy: "It's definitely a shocker. Max finally realises the trauma he's caused his family over the past months and goes to resolve his differences with Tanya. He doesn't make it across the Square, though. Before he gets across the road, an unidentified driver knocks him down."
Soap fans can see the outcome in an hour-long Hallowe'en special on 30 October. Personally, we reckon Max "nine lives" Branning is going to pull through – this, after all, is the man who survived being buried alive in a coffin just a few short months ago.
