Cowell calls American Idol “dull”

Bless Simon Cowell – he’s nothing if not honest. With the battle to reach American Idol’s final 12 heating up and many Yanks going into raptures of excitement over the competition, the music mogul who sits as a judge has described the show as “a bit dull”.
“To be honest with you I’m not really enjoying the current American Idol season,” said the acerbic Brit. “It actually reminds me of the last X Factor series we did. It’s just a bit dull.”
He even sounded a little homesick, adding: “I always look forward to getting back to London.”
However, Simon has clearly found one or two ways of cheering himself up – he was spotted racing round Los Angeles in a brand new $1m (£600,000) Bugatti Veyron, the fastest road-legal car in the world.
We imagine that after a drive in one of those, anything’s going to seem a bit dull.
