Holly stays defiant
|
Issuing possibly the strongest words of defiance since Winston Churchill vowed to fight them on the beaches, Dancing On Ice presenter Holly Willoughby has made it clear that she remains unfazed by the recent furore resulting from her eye-watering wardrobe choices.
I love the dresses I wear: I think they are beautiful and until I think differently, I'll carry on," said Holly, 27.
People have been queuing up to have a pop at her after she donned a succession of revealing frocks on the show, including a cleavage-revealing cream Grecian number a few weeks ago which caused a flood of complaints well, five and an avalanche of outraged tittle-tattle from all those Disgusted of Tunbridge Wells types out there.
At one point, even that well-known barometer of public opinion Alan Titchmarsh felt the need to enter the debate and it still rages on with full force on the internet, with one reader of the Daily Mail website even calling poor Holly depraved.
Still, its all water off Hollys (possibly bare) back: "I'm not going to wear dresses up to my neck that's just not me, and not a good look! I'm womanly, I have boobs and hips and I dress to accommodate them that's not going to change. Why should it?" she said, as a thousand middle-aged blokes, newly converted to ice-skating, nodded furiously in agreement.
