Madonna donates to earthquake fund

Madonna has made a 'substantial' donation to a fund for victims of the Italian earthquake.
The singer gave money after an appeal from the mayor of Pacento, where her grandparents were brought up.
Madonna was quoted as saying: 'I am happy to lend a helping hand to the town that my ancestors are from.'
Reports in the US media say the donation was as much as $500,000 (£340,000).
At least 250 people died after the earthquake struck the Abruzzo region of central Italy in the early hours of Monday morning.
Madonna is back in the US after failing to adopt a second child in Malawi.
