Boxing star to appear on Dancing With Stars

Boxer Floyd Mayweather is set to appear in US hit show Dancing With The Stars.

For four hours a day, four days a week, Mayweather is preparing not to be his sport's pound-for-pound champion, but the best amateur celebrity dancer on the television reality show.

He said: 'This is pushing me to the limit. I am fighting on two fronts in getting fit for Dancing With The Stars and one of the biggest welter-weight fights in boxing history.

'It is something I enjoy, the fans enjoy it and its going to make non-boxing fans become boxing fans.'

Mayweather is due to fight unbeaten Ricky Hatton for the WBC welterweight title on December 8.

The appearance has whipped up a war of words between the fighters with Hatton claiming his opponent was 'boxing like he was dancing' while Mayweather hit back at the Mancunian calling him 'Vicky Fatton'.
