US film director Francis Ford Coppola has had his home broken into.
Coppola has appealed for thieves to return a digital backup device containing the screenplay for his new movie.
The Godfather trilogy director said the thieves carried off items including a laptop and a backup disk from his Buenos Aires home.
He said: 'If someone could bring me back my backup, I'd be very happy. It would save me years of work.'
Coppola said the disk also holds 'all of the photographs of my life, all of my writing.'
The five time Oscar winner hinted there might be a reward for anyone who can return his computer.
