What's it about?

Sixteen year-old Juno Macguff (Ellen Page) is a real individual - offbeat and super smart, with a razor-sharp wit. Life gets a little complicated when a one-night-stand with her awkward but surprisingly virile classmate Paulie Bleeker (Superbad's Michael Cera) results in a most unwelcome pregnancy.

Pragmatic to a fault, Juno enlists the help of her cheerleader best friend Leah (who has a thing about teachers), as she embarks on a search to find the "perfect couple" to take on parenting responsibilities; a search which leads her - via the free ads - to affluent suburbia where she strikes a deal with Mark and Vanessa Loring (Jason Bateman and Jennifer Garner).

She'll pop out the kid, hand it right on over - then everything can go back to normal. But real life just isn't that easy, and as her waistband expands, Juno deals with some tough decisions, flirts with adulthood, and - with the unstinting support of her eccentric family and friends - figures out where she belongs.

Juno, out in the UK on 8 February, was one of the big hits at the recent Toronto Film Festival and has been a smash hit at the US Box Office. Nominated for a huge number of awards including Golden Globes, Ellen Page has also been nominated for an Orange Rising Star Award.  Watch Juno and see if she should get your vote.
