So John & Edward (who've just turned 18, hence the cake) have done the unthinkable and survived to “sing” another week on The X Factor. But maybe we shouldn’t be too surprised. If you’re going to succeed in showbiz, it pays to have a gimmick - and when it comes to stealing the limelight, being twins is right up there with dating a footballer or having a third nipple.
