Possibly the most bizarre line-up of celebs ever assembled was in Dubai for the launch of the swanky (and slightly bonkers) Atlantis Hotel last night. "Just like a posh Centre Parcs" is how mouthy popstrel Lily Allen described the place, owned and developed by South African tycoon Sol Kerzner.

The launch party was attended by 2,000 fabulous guests, who guzzled down an impressive 5,000 bottles of champagne and chomped their way through 4,000 lobsters cooked by 500 chefs – that’s eight lobsters per chef, by our calculations. Oh, and the hors d'oeuvres were served by Michelin-starred chefs on a 70ft sea dragon which weaved through the crowd. Niiice.
