The long fringe: Kate Moss
Cheryl Cole, Penelope Cruz and Liv Tyler are just some of the stars who have been seen sporting a fringe over recent months. But nobody caused as much of a tabloid frenzy as supermodel Kate, 33, when she swapped her hippie-chic, bedhead locks for a shorter shoulder-length style with a heavy, blunt fringe in mid-October.
Will it work for me? Fringes look good on just about anyone - unless you have very curly hair, in which case they may end up looking messy and gappy. They can help to soften your look if you have a high forehead or strong features. One word of warning, though: shorter fringes can appear quite severe, so keep them as long as possible. You can always pop into your salon for a between-cuts trim.
