Kerry’s shocking family photos

“I love Kerry with all my heart, but I had to get out of there. I can’t watch her destroy herself any longer,” says Kerry Katona’s stepsister Pat Ferrier in an interview with this week’s Heat magazine. “I’ve done all I can to help Kerry and I will always be there for her, but she is totally blinded by Mark and until she leaves him she is beyond help.”
Strong words, then – although somewhat undermined by Pat’s decision to flip open the Katona family album and show off a few less-than-complimentary snaps of the ex-Atomic Kitten star as a toddler.
One of the shocking photos even shows a three-year-old Kerry pretending to smoke a cigarette, while another captures her mum Sue nursing a pint while the young star poses for the camera.
“Please don’t judge Kerry before you know what her childhood was like,” is Pat’s plea. “She just wants to be loved. She is so insecure because, for all of her early life, she was moved around and taken away from people who she loved.”
Pat recently quit as nanny to Kerry’s kids in protest at her continued relationship with Mark Croft, who she views as a destructive influence on the star. “Mark is totally destroying her,” she said. “I look at Kerry and her eyes are dead. She isn’t living, she just exists and that’s sad to see.”
