Is Wossy’s waxwork cursed?
|
Tourists who’ve travelled across the globe to see the renowned Madame Tussauds waxwork of chat show host Jonathan Ross this week are in for some bad news – it’s been taken away for a makeover after a punter ripped its ear off.
This isn’t the first time the waxy likeness has had to be removed for a touch-up. Apparently when it was first introduced, Wossy himself complained. “Jonathan asked them to make him look thinner and take a few wrinkles out, and the end product made him look 10 years younger,” said an insider. “But it still wasn’t right.”
Luckily, the latest incident means the waxworkers can give the figure another tweak. Added the source: “When the ear got ripped off it was an excuse to tone down the expression and make it less rubbery.”
A Madame Tussauds spokesman said the waxwork will return soon, saying: “Ross loves the figure.”
In slightly more serious Wossy news, the star has been cleared by Ofcom over claims he made a homophobic joke on his chat show. On his Friday night BBC1 show, the presenter jokingly suggested that parents who had sons wanting a Hannah Montana branded MP3 player might want to put them up for adoption.
Ofcom said the remark was "clearly presented as a joke intended to make light of the reactions that some parents may have if their child chooses a toy... designed and marketed for the opposite sex.
"The humour was therefore based on the absurdity of the scenario and was not intended to cause offence.”
Personally, we think anyone who wants a Hannah Montana MP3 player should be put up for adoption. No offence, like.
