Nicole won’t spill beans on marriage to Tom

When it comes to bean-spilling, willowy Aussie thesp Nicole Kidman has probably got more potential than most. However, the former Mrs Tom Cruise has been very careful about which dirt to dish in her high-profile interview with GQ magazine.
No prizes for guessing which quote has grabbed most of the headlines. “I’ve explored obsession,” she said. “I’ve explored loss and love in terms of being in a grief-stricken place. I’ve explored strange sexual fetish stuff.” Gulp! She didn’t go into details, though.
Anyone eager for inside goss on her marriage to Tom Cruise will also go away disappointed. “I want to honour that marriage for what it was,” she exclaimed, “and there is nothing I would go into about that. I have never discussed the intricacies of it and never will.”
Indeed, she’s so concerned about keeping her secrets that she burned several of her diaries after she married country singer Keith Urban in 2006. “You can’t read somebody’s diary. You shouldn’t read it. You’re only going to find out bad things,” she declared.
However, she did reveal that her agents advised her against marrying Tom, saying that it would ruin her career. And Nicole admitted that while the marriage propelled her to fame, she was still finding her feet as an actress. “I became very famous because I was the wife of somebody,” she acknowledged.
The Oscar winner even makes life with her new hubby sound like hard work. She describes her marriage as “a very extraordinary, adventurous place to be: incredibly raw, incredibly dangerous and you’re very much out at sea”. She concluded: “You’re exposed. You could drown.”
We’re getting seasick just thinking about it.
