TomKat's house-warming

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes’s house-warming was always going to be a star-studded event. Sure enough, the couple opened the doors of their new Beverly Hills pad to 250 of their famous friends at the weekend.
An army of valets were on hand, as were eight police officers to direct the endless stream of limousines arriving at TomKat’s door. Every contingency was thought of – even an ambulance was on site, just in case it was needed.
Stars included Victoria Beckham, who attended alone as David was in Trinidad on England football duty. Other stars included Eva Longoria, Tobey Maguire, Brooke Shields and Jennifer Lopez, reports E! Guests were treated to tour of the mansion and a lavish dinner cooked up by celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck.
Tom and Katie bought the £17.5m home last year and have just finished decorating. It is situated on 1.3-acre grounds and has seven bedrooms and nine bathrooms, as well as a tennis court and swimming pool.
The house is surrounded by the homes of A-List stars and is just a few minutes walk from the Beckhams' home. I'm sure that'll be handy if either of them ever need a cup of sugar.
