Angelina snaps over Jen!
A word to the wise: never ask Angelina Jolie about any rumoured rivalry with Jennifer Aniston. One brave hack did just that at a press conference over the weekend, and was met with very short shrift. To give you a little background... November's issue of W magazine has hit newsstands with nine different covers, including one of Ange and one of Jen. So the burning question on the reporter's lips was: who will sell the most copies? Uh-oh! "Why would I comment on that?" snapped Angelina, who - to be fair - was actually there to answer questions about her new movie, Beowulf. "That matters because...?" Perhaps wisely, the reporter quickly moved on to another question.
Meanwhile, it seems relations between Jennifer and ex-husband Brad Pitt have hit an all-time low. The reason? According to Heat magazine, Jen was beside herself with rage when she heard that Brad and Ange had commented publicly that they were both on good terms with her. "I hate Brad!" she allegedly told friends.
Jen has recently been obliged to resume communication with her ex about The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, the snappily titled final movie project overseen by their former production company. "Jen was back on track and over the whole thing, but the communication started up again and it really got to her," says an insider. "Jennifer isn't interested in maintaining any form of relationship with Brad. She really has moved on. And while there has been water under the bridge, this recent communication and the press stories have riled her. She isn't interested in opening up to Angelina, and she definitely doesn't want to be her friend." Hmmm... we'll be watching those W sales figures with interest...
