When Paris met Jordan

It takes a special kind of person to upstage a shy, retiring, demure lady like Katie Price. Someone who can rival her taste and class, her innate sense of style and grace. Enter Paris Hilton.
As you may well be aware, Jordan was busy dressing up as a sea-creature to launch her latest highbrow literary tome Mermaids and Pirates at London’s swankiest supermarket Harrods yesterday. Crowds had naturally gathered to catch a glimpse of the lovely Katie, not to mention a huge bunch of paparazzi.
Imagine everyone’s surprise when word got out that Paris had just popped into the shop with guitarist boyfriend Benji Madden to indulge in a spot of retail therapy. Well, all hell broke loose. One over-excited witness was moved to witter: “The photographers did not know where to point their lenses. Suddenly they had two famous women at the same time – and a big decision to make.”
The winner? Well, it seems that it finished up Paris 1, Jordan 0, but we’d imagine this won’t be the end of the matter. Perhaps the mermaid has a sting in her tail…
