Apprentice Phil: ‘I’m in love’
|
Well, we knew Apprentice couple Philip Taylor and Kate Walsh had gone public, what with all those pictures of them walking hand in hand and laughing gaily, but it seems the Durham estate agent is really serious about the romance, describing himself as “head over heels”.
Philip described being fired from the show as “a double blow”. “I was leaving the job behind and I knew she was still in there. Imagine being with someone all the time and suddenly her not being there any more. You are constantly thinking all the time, ‘’What is she doing now?’”
He added: “I was crushed – I miss her. I have never felt this way about a girl before.”
Asked if he could see himself marrying her, he said: “Well, you always dream of marrying a beautiful woman, don’t you? Put it this way, if I was going to marry anyone, I’d like it to be her.”
Apparently the pair kissed for the first time after task three, before a boardroom meeting. “It was just a quick one, but it was worth the wait,” said Phil. The relationship developed from there – but apparently they both had to rely on stolen moments, with the presence of the other contestants preventing any hanky-panky.
The lovestruck 29-year-old even made Kate a compilation album. "When I left the show, I put a CD together for her with one opera track called ‘Vide Cor Meum’, which was written for the film Hannibal,” he said. Ah yes, that classic date movie.
He added: “I also sent her a translation of the lyrics in a love letter. I told her I missed her and that I was always thinking about her.” Awww. Dr Lecter would be proud.
