Why's Miley so smiley?

We can't ignore her any longer! US singer/actress Miley Cyrus may only be 15 years old, but she's rapidly turning into a superstar, which more than qualifies her to appear on our celebrity pages.
What's more, smiley Miley accepted the gong for Favourite Female Singer at Nickelodeon's Kids' Choice Awards on Saturday. However, the teenager managed to avoid being covered in slime - a time-honoured tradition whose past victims have included Justin Timberlake, Nicole Kidman and Johnny Depp.
"I don't want to get slimed but I'm glad to be here," she told the audience of pre-teens. If only it had been that simple for Harrison Ford, Orlando Bloom and Jack Black, eh? The unlikely trio were soaked in green slime at the end of the show. That's entertainment! Apparently.
Other winners included Jessica Alba, who was given the award for Favourite Movie Actress. "I love Nickelodeon!" she screamed, maybe a little mindful of the slime. "I love making movies for you all."
Cameron Diaz was also on hand to pick up the "Wannabe" award - which isn't some thinly veiled jibe at her acting credentials, but apparently recognises her credentials as a role model.
"This is the biggest honour of my life," she gushed - before encouraging the audience to shout out: "We are the future! And the future is bright!" And there we were thinking the future was orange...
