Heath Ledger tributes

The family and friends of Heath Ledger, who died in New York at the age of 28, have been paying tributes to the Hollywood actor.
"Heath has touched so many people on so many different levels during his short life but few had the pleasure of truly knowing him", said his father, Kim, in the actor's home town of Perth, Australia.
Fellow Australian, Mel Gibson, said: "I had such great hope for him. He was just taking off, and to lose his life at such a young age is a tragic loss."
Nicole Kidman has also called Heath Ledger's death "a tragedy".
Cate Blanchett paid a tribute to the actor, saying she "deeply respected his work and always admired his continuing development as an artist". "My thoughts are with his family and close friends," she added.
John Travolta has called Ledger one of his favourite performers: "His abilities are rare...it's a tremendous loss".
The news about Ledger's death has shocked executives at Warner Bros. The company's president, Alan Horn said: "The entertainment community has lost an enormous talent. Heath was a brilliant actor and an exceptional person."
