Jordan says Peter’s a verbal ‘wife beater’

Yikes! Katie Price has accused Peter Andre of being a few things since the couple split a couple of months ago, but surely this takes the biscuit. Visibly upset by the Aussie warbler’s attacks on her drunken antics with cage fighter Alex Reid in Ibiza, the 31-year-old glamour model whinged: “This is like wife beating.”
Just to clarify, Katie isn’t actually accusing Pete of raising his fists to her. She’s just accusing him of using their public spat to promote his new single ‘Behind Closed Doors’, which is expected to sail to No.1 in the pop charts this weekend. Courting publicity to shift some units? Surely not.
“I would never slate the father of my children like he has done to me in the last few weeks. How dare he call me disgusting?” raged Jordan. “Why should I be the pawn in his desperate publicity drive for his music? As for what Pete has said about me recently – well, this is like wife-beating.”
“I would never brand my wife a drunken slapper,” Peter said recently, inadvertently branding his wife a drunken slapper in the process, “because I have always vowed not to be involved in public mudslinging. I don’t want our children to think I ever said that about their mum. Every picture tells a story though, and it’s become messy.”
Katie apparently feels hard done by at the hands of the press, and believes tales of her raucous partying have been grossly exaggerated. Peter, meanwhile, will be back on our screens in a 90-minute documentary called Peter Andre: Going It Alone on ITV2 next Monday. Presumably he’ll wear some sort of gag in order to maintain his “dignified silence”.
