How much would you pay to go out with Scarlett Johansson? Well one lucky fan has managed to clinch a 20-minute date with the Hollywood starlet on eBay – for a bargain price of £20,000.
The British winner, known only by his buyer’s name, “bossnour”, will get to be the 23-year-old actress's guest at the premiere of her new film, the inappropriately titled He's Just Not That Into You. He really is, Scarlett.
The winner will get to have his – or her – hair and make-up done and will then be chauffeured to the premiere with a guest, before meeting the Lost in Translation star in person. At which stage we’d like to think Bossnour’s guest will make themselves scarce so Scarlett and her would-be paramour can have some quiet time together.
The fragrant Miss Johansson wasn’t, of course, just doing this because she can’t get a man, or for some spare pocket money – the bucks are going to Oxfam, the charity for which she’s a global ambassador.
"This was a brilliant idea and has proved incredibly popular,” says a spokesperson for Oxfam. “To get £20,000 for a 20-minute date and a pair of tickets is fantastic. All of this money will be used to help us fight poverty in countries all over the world."
