Help activating and deactivating Orange Messenger

What do I need to activate the service?
To activate Orange Messenger by Windows Live™, you must be an Orange Broadband customer, and you'll need a PC with at least Windows XP.
What else will my PC need?
If you’ve got MSN Messenger or Windows Live Messenger 8.0, you’ll need to download the latest software:
• If you’ve already activated Orange Messenger by Windows Live™ you’ll need to download the latest version of Windows Live Messenger onto your PC, from the Preferences section of this site.
• If you haven’t yet activated Orange Messenger by Windows Live™, you can download the latest version of Windows Live Messenger from the Download section on the site.

Which email address should I use to create my Orange Messenger by Windows Live™ account?
If you already use Windows Live Messenger or MSN Messenger, you can use your usual address, whether it is @orange, @wanadoo, @hotmail or @msn.
If you don’t use Windows Live Messenger or MSN Messenger, you must create an Orange Messenger by Windows Live™ account using your @orange address. If you don’t know this address, call your usual customer service department or, from the Orange portal, go to Options in your Orange email.
I don’t have an Orange email address – how do I create one?
It’s easy – just go to the Orange portal at orange.co.uk, head to My Account and create it there.
Why do I need to sign in?
This service is reserved for Orange customers. To guarantee confidentiality, you need to sign in at the Orange portal.
Can I activate Orange Messenger by Windows Live™ directly from Windows Live Messenger or MSN Messenger?
No, to activate the service you need to register in the Download section of the site.
How do I install and download the service?
You’ll need to download Orange Messenger by Windows Live™ on your PC.
• Go to the Download section of the site, and follow the activation instructions.
• To complete activation you’ll be asked to download the latest version of Windows Live Messenger onto your PC.
What happens if I deactivate the service?
• You will lose the service on your PC.
• You’ll still find Windows Live Messenger on your PC, with your contacts list.
• Any text or voice credits you haven’t used will be lost.
To deactivate Orange Messenger by Windows Live™, sign-in, go to the Preferences tab and click on Unsubscribe.
