Mazda has announced that the new CX-7 crossover SUV will be hitting the road in November.

Available in UK showrooms from 1 November, the CX-7 will be priced at £25,785 on the road – which is a bit of a bargain for what we think is a serious improvement on the first generation of the CX-7.

Equipped with a new turbo-charged 2.2-litre diesel drivetrain which delivers 173bhp and 400Nm of torque, the second-generation CX-7 has a more dynamic and sportier exterior than its predecessor, with significant changes including a larger five-point grille, chrome detailing, new front and rear bumpers, and 19-inch alloy wheels.

And because the new CX-7’s aesthetic is so incredibly hot, we reckon it could give the likes of the Audi Q5 and the BMW X3 a run for their money. Let the battle commence!
