The Ferrari Enzo evolves
Ferrari Enzo XX Evolution

For those people who find owning a Ferrari Enzo just isn't enough, leading tuning company Edo Competition is offering a souped-up version of the leading Italian supercar.

Called the XX Evolution, this pimped Enzo will have a 6.3-litre engine rather than the traditional 6.0-litre, meaning the power output increases by 180 ponies to a formidable 840bhp – further increasing to 860bhp without mufflers.

If that's not enough to whet your appetite, the performance stats are almost incomprehensible. A top speed of 242mph and a 0-62mph of 3.2 seconds will easily make this the fastest Ferrari road car ever (can you name a faster Prancing Horse?) – and one of the speediest road cars of all time.

Other key enhancements to a car that some petrolheads would argue was already close to perfection include a significant weight reduction of 100kg, adjusted suspension to enhance driving dynamics, a new retractable rear wing that increases the car's downforce, and new LED tailights at the rear of the car.

As far as tuned-up supercars go, this may just be the best tuning job we've heard of to date, even usurping the BMW M6 Hurricane CS we wrote about earlier this year. And that's no mean feat!
