Fisker's good Karma comes around very quickly
|
Exciting times for the future of green cars – news reaches us that a prototype of the Fisker Karma has been seen out testing at a track in California, USA.
The Karma was first unveiled as a concept at the Detroit Motor show back in January, setting a lot of pulses racing in the motoring press because of its hot design and impressive environmentally friendly credentials as a plug-in hybrid.
The latest news about the prototype being tested should mean we won't have to wait too long until this super-sexy green machine is on the market.

In fact, we could see it go on sale as soon as the autumn of 2008, and with a price range of just £40,000, which is great news for green car fans everywhere who have a bit of spare cash to splash.
As far as the performance levels of green cars goes, this plug-in hybrid's top speed of 125mph and capability of going from 0-60mph in just 5.8 seconds is sure to win the hearts of even the most cynical motorist.
The car’s economy is also impressive: it can run on battery power alone for up to 50 miles after charging, before switching to using both its gasoline and electric motors.
Following recent news that the ambitious SpadaConcept Codatronca has received the production green light, it seems another car manufacturer has actually had the guts to bring an ambitious concept to the market – and we just can't hide our excitement.
To celebrate the good news, we've got hold of some images of the car being tested in California, plus some pictures of what it should look like when the motoring geniuses at Fisker have completed their masterpiece. Who says good Karma doesn’t come around quickly?
